Tair-e-Lahoti by Riffat Siraj

Lack of closure, unanswered questions, deliberate open-ness of certain threads and a sense of abruptness is what I get after a week of reading it and tremendously savoring every second of the experience.

I was deprived of the kind of satisfaction I was hoping for. The story came to a standstill quite a while before the finish and after that it just dragged on needlessly getting on my already impatient nerves.

Tair-e-Lahoti is the story of three distinct families whose lives become entangled with each other. Bari Amma lives with her seven grandchildren; six grandsons and a granddaughter. She brought all of them up after they were abandoned by both of their parents and is now more than a mother and a father to them.

Their relationship dynamics, their bickering, respect and complete love and devotion to each other and their Bari Amma was the highlight of the novel and the best thing about it.

He lives with his second wife, Shahaana and two sons; Moon and Sunny. Moon represented the middle ground and that is why I liked him. He made a terrible, terrible mistake.

He made a terrible, terrible mistake. I understand that no amount of apologizing could have undone what happened but as the victim it was her right to be asked for forgiveness.

Unfamiliar with the idea of failure, Pasha kidnaps her. When Mahnoor realizes that all her resistance is for naught because not only is Pasha a powerful and fearsome criminal but also because the social constraints would no longer allow her family to accept her, she has to marry Pasha.

Pasha had all the qualities women today detest and despise violently in men.Friend Reviews. My This Project Paksociety is now Pakistan's no 1 website related to books.

Pasha had all the qualities women today detest and despise violently in men. The result was that while Pasha remained his usual damnable self, Mahnoor herself turned bitter and pessimistic.

And in future i am going to start new projects. Showing It was so ambiguous it almost seems lazy to me now.

He was the sort of character readers love to hate. How to ZOOM in preview below?
